Enrollment Priority
In line with State regulations, the order in which eligible students can register in classes is determined by a priority system in order to provide for a fair and equitable registration process and to ensure space for students with the greatest determined need.
| PRIORITY 1 | Active Duty Military and Veterans, current and former Foster Youth, ASC, EOPS, Puente, MESA, Homeless, Rising Scholars, Student Parents, and CalWORKs students who have not been on academic or progress probation for two fall or spring semesters and who have completed orientation, assessment, and developed a student education plan; |
| PRIORITY 2 | Students participating in Intercollegiate Athletics during the semester of active team participation, students participating in ASSC, and student government members, provided that the students in these groups have not been on academic or progress probation for two consecutive fall or spring semesters and have completed orientation, assessment, and developed a student education plan; |
| PRIORITY 3 | Continuing Solano Community College students who have not been on academic or progress probation for two consecutive fall or spring semesters. Continuing students register in order based on the total number of units completed as follows:

| PRIORITY 4 | First time students who have completed orientation, assessment, and developed a student education plan. |
| PRIORITY 5 | Returning students |
| PRIORITY 6 | Transfer students |
| PRIORITY 7 | Early College & K12 Special Admission/Concurrent Enrollment Students |
Priority Registration Information
Registration priority specified above shall be lost at the first registration opportunity after a student:
- is placed on academic or progress probation or any combination thereof for two consecutive fall or spring semesters; or
- has earned 90 or more degree‐applicable semester units at Solano Community College.
The 90‐unit limit does not include units for non‐degree applicable English as a Second Language or basic skills course. Students enrolled in high unit majors may appeal for exemption from the 90‐unit limitation.
Appeal of Loss of Enrollment Priority
Students may appeal the loss of enrollment priority when the loss is due to extenuating circumstances. Extenuating circumstances are verified cases of accident, illness or other circumstances beyond the control of the student, significant academic improvement, or when a student with a disability applied for, but did not receive a reasonable accommodation in a timely manner. Appeal procedures and the required form are available from the Office of Admissions and Records and on the Admissions and Records website.
Support Services
Students are encouraged to take advantage of support services available to assist them in maintaining or re-establishing their eligibility for priority enrollment. Making an appointment to meet with a Counselor is the first step toward accessing the broad array of support services available at no charge to SCC students. Counseling and support staff are available to help students every step of the way toward reaching their educational goals.
